WILLIAMS WELL DRILLING SERVICES

Here at Williams Well Drilling we provide our clients with a complete range of private water supply services; from borehole drilling and installation through well pump installation and repair.

Common services we provide are:

Air Rotary Drilling

Air rotary drilling is a method used to drill deep boreholes in rock formations. This method utilizes air as a circulating medium to cool the drill bit, bring drill cuttings to the surface and maintain borehole integrity.

Air Percussion Drilling

Air Percussion drilling is used most frequently in the mineral and water exploration industry. The drill uses a pneumatic reciprocating piston-driven ‘hammer’ to drive a heavy drill bit into the rock.

Mud Rotary Drilling

Mud rotary drilling with mud is the most widely used method for water-well construction. A bit is rotated against the formation while mud is pumped down the drill pipe, through ports in the bit, and back to the ground surface through the annulus between the drill pipe and the borehole wall.

Blast Hole Drilling

Blast hole drilling is a drilling technique whereby a hole is drilled in the rock surface up to certain depth, and then explosives are loaded to induce cracks on the hard surface of the inner geology formation for further deep drilling. This hole which is meant for loading explosives in known as a blast hole.

Well Abandonment

Abandonment is a term used to describe the actual filling and plugging of the well so that it can no longer be used. The well is filled and capped making sure that water does not continue to flow or pose a risk to the aquifer or surrounding wells. This also includes any drill holes or exploratory boreholes that may have been drilled as well.

Geothermal Fields

A geothermal field is a field of wells tied to a heat exchange. In order for geothermal to work, a hole (typically in the 6″ diameter range, more on this later) must be drilled into the earth for quite some depth using a geothermal drill.

Grounding Holes

Grounding holes are drilled at power plants and connect to grounding grid to disperse if a short occurs.

Concentric Drilling

Concentric drilling is the advancing of the casing as we drill. This is used in difficult formations such as sand, gravel and boulders.

Water Well Depth Enhancement

We pull the pump and deepen the well into the bedrock.

Pump Installation and Repair

We service and repair well pumps and tanks for residential and commercial use.
